Volunteering with CHICKS 02/09/2013 - 06/02/2013

CHICKS is a great charity whom do great work giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds an amazing holiday to remember.
I volunteered on their coastal camp based in Devon with other volunteers, camp supervisors and children (aged 7-11). It was an action packed week full of activities such as horse riding, cake making, body boarding, a water fight, gorge scrambling and rock climbing!

I had a fantastic time, got to know some amazing people and felt proud to have volunteered at the end of it. I'd recommend volunteering and/or fundraising for CHICKS to anyone who is interested from 18 years of age upwards http://www.chicks.org.uk. It truly is a fantastic experience which makes an (positive) impact on disadvantaged childrens lives.

It has made such an impact on me that I would like to volunteer once a year every year.

I would of put a few photos, there were some great ones, but due to confidentiality reasons I'm not allowed to use any photos with the kids.

Charity Car Boot Sale 2 (18/08/2013)

On Sunday my mum, my sister and I travelled to the A47 car boot sale to sell stuff we no longer used.
The day was sunny with no rain!

People were interested in lots of our stuff.

A few Arnies visited.... "I'll be backk".

The car boot sale raised £55.30 for Raleigh International!

Street Fundraising at Leicester Clock Tower on Saturday Morning (17/08/2013)

I applied for a license to fundraise in town and was granted one for Saturday from 9am - 11am.  My sister Paloma also came to fundraise.

Palo was looking good in her fundraising gear.

The weather was slightly wet but that didn't stop people stopping for a chat.
Thank you to all the awesome people who donated. In total £13.71 was fundraised.
